RootsTech Family History Fair at Holywood Road chapel in Belfast was held recently with local Family History societies invited and open to the public.
John Hales, now 88, has been a patron at the London Family History Centre for many years. His visits were initially to Exhibition Road, but now he comes to The National Archives at Kew where the centre is housed, needing help.
As we started indexing more people started arriving and some non-members joined us to help and stayed and stayed, and still people kept arriving.  Some of the youth enjoyed it so much that they asked to stay on, and made a game out of trying to find the most unusual first name- with ‘Cassebilinous’ being a sure winner.
