Our Virtual Worship Services

Sister Little & Sister Kretzschmar

A while ago, Sister Kretzschmar and I started holding a virtual 'worship service' on Sunday afternoons for our branch, for friends we are teaching, and even for people back home. These online meetings have grown pretty big and our group now has almost 400 participants! Well, it was Sunday morning and I was trying to figure out which people I could invite. I had been messaging a girl I had found on Facebook a few days before. She was originally from South Africa but had moved to Scotland as a teen. She hadn't been religious for awhile. We had talked a bit about churches and her beliefs, but eventually the conversation kind of died. Honestly, I had not thought much about her since because she did not seem to be the most promising contact. That morning though, I felt like I should invite her to our virtual church service - so I did! She said she would watch it later, but I didn't think much of it because a lot of people say that (haha), yet rarely do. WELL, SHE DID WATCH IT! The next morning (Monday), I woke up to a long message from her. She basically told me how she had watched it and felt the Spirit in a very real way that she never had before! :)) I was so grateful that I had invited her to join us. I will continue to message her and hopefully we can set up a time to call her this week. But I am just so grateful for the opportunity we have to use technology and do things like 'Sunday worship services' that we never would have done before. It sparked her interest and helped her feel the Spirit when simple messaging wasn't able to do that for her!
