Manchester YSAs Create Sensory Cushions
The young single adults from the Relief Society of the Manchester Young Single Adult Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, held a service activity during which they lovingly created ‘sensory’ cushions for those who suffer from dementia. They plan to take the cushions to a home for dementia patients that is in close proximity to the ward building. In addition, the Relief Society will dedicate time to visit those patients on a regular basis to provide comfort and much-needed company.

Katie Magee, young single adult women’s leader, stated, “We were excited to find a project where we were able to learn new skills and also to know that the cushions would be received and enjoyed. We look forward to being further involved and finding opportunities to serve the people that we hope to become closer to.”
