The 2024 youth theme, “I am a disciple of Jesus Christ” (3 Nephi 5:13), is the focus of a Worldwide Discussion Event for Youth on discipleship on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Youth are encouraged to gather with their youth group to participate in this worldwide discussion that will be facilitated through a prerecorded video featuring Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
The prerecorded video is now available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. More languages will follow in the coming weeks. It is published on the ChurchofJesusChrist.org broadcast page and Gospel Library to be available for viewing as a group from January 28.
Suggested Outline of Local Event
Below is a suggested outline for this meeting:
- Opening musical number and prayer by youth
- Meeting conducted by youth
- View the pre-recorded video (video portion will be 45 minutes long)
- Pause intermittently when prompted by the video to discuss the included reflection questions as a group
- Closing prayer
- Post-event gathering as desired
