Christian Fingerle has accepted the position as the Church History Multi-Area Manager for the Europe and Europe East areas. He will be based in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Europe Area Office. 

Christian will join the Church History Department from the Translation Division in the Publishing Services Department, where he served as a Multi-Language Supervisor. He has also worked as the Seminaries and Institute Area Director, and served as an Area Seventy, mission president, stake president, and bishop.

Christian will continue to work in Translation until after the General Conference. It is anticipated that he will be working full-time for Church History by 1st November 2020. Christian will also slowly assume responsibility for the Europe East Area. This will happen in conjunction with the Church’s assignment of American expatriate James Miller to Kyiv, Ukraine, beginning in June 2021.  

Christian will work with the team to produce the 2021 Europe Area Church History plan and budget.
