Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you.

Matthew 5: 44

During Christmas, we are reminded that Jesus Christ is the light of the world. This year, we have an amazing opportunity to share that light by resolving to do the things Jesus Christ did. Every day leading up to Christmas, we will focus on a different Christlike behaviour and provide suggestions for ways we can emulate His example. You’re encouraged to participate using the following outline as you plan your Christmas activities.

  • Do you owe anyone an apology? Resolve to take action.

  • Make a donation to help refugees from war-torn regions.

  • Say nice things behind people’s backs today.

  • Jesus Christ offers us peace. Read John 14:27 and discuss with family or friends how to better enjoy the peace of the Savior.

  • Take time to listen to someone with a different point of view.

  • Don’t argue. Just listen.

  • Bring more peace into your life with some calming music.

  • Help mend a rift between family members or friends.

  • Avoid combative internet rhetoric for a day (or forever).

  • Offer a compliment or a smile to someone having a rough day.

  • Sit down with loved ones to plan a calming family getaway.
