#LIGHTtheWORLD

The lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Matthew 21:14

During Christmas, we are reminded that Jesus Christ is the light of the world. This year, we have an amazing opportunity to share that light by resolving to do the things Jesus Christ did. Every day leading up to Christmas, we will focus on a different Christlike behaviour and provide suggestions for ways we can emulate His example. You’re encouraged to participate using the following outline as you plan your Christmas activities.

  • Donate your old crutches, wheelchair, or walker to a group that refurbishes them.

  • Watch this inspiring video about para-athlete Jarem Frye.

  • Watch this brief video to learn more about the LDS Charities wheelchair program.

  • Contribute to a group that donates wheelchairs, walkers, or prosthetics.

  • Plan an activity that is catered to a handicapped friend’s capabilities.

  • Research easy ways to prevent future immobility.

  • Offer to help an elderly person run errands.

  • Shovel snow and ice off the sidewalk on your street.

  • Donate shoes to a charity for those in need.
